About Our Client
Our Client is building a next-generation software platform designed to modernize how property owners, property managers, brokerages, maintenance providers, service professionals, and real estate organizations operate.
The platform combines CRM, leasing, maintenance, accounting, payments, communications, workflow automation, compliance, reporting, AI, integrations, and stakeholder portals into a single operating platform.
Our goal is not to build another collection of disconnected software tools. We are building an operational platform that simplifies complex business processes, reduces manual work, improves visibility, and helps organizations operate more efficiently.
The product is already underway, and we are now looking for a strong product designer who can help turn a complex platform into an intuitive, professional, scalable, and commercially ready user experience.
About the Role
Our Client is hiring a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to lead the design of our web and mobile product experience.
This is not a graphic design role, and it is not a role focused only on creating attractive screens.
We are looking for someone who understands how to design real software products, including complex SaaS platforms, marketplace applications, dashboards, workflows, portals, mobile apps, and multi-user systems.
You will work closely with leadership, engineering, and product stakeholders to simplify complex workflows, improve usability, create scalable design systems, and help prepare the platform for commercial launch.
The successful candidate must be able to think through product flows, user journeys, permissions, edge cases, responsive layouts, information hierarchy, and design handoff — not just visual styling.
You should also be comfortable using AI tools to improve your design process, speed up research and ideation, organize complex requirements, generate UX copy, explore layout options, create user flows, and improve documentation while still applying your own product judgment.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and portfolio for consideration.
Your portfolio should include examples of real product-design work, such as user flows, dashboards, complex interfaces, mobile screens, design systems, marketplace workflows, SaaS platforms, or similar product examples.
Candidates with only branding, landing pages, social media graphics, or marketing websites will not be the strongest fit for this role.
Qualified candidates will be invited to complete a pre-recorded video interview as the next step in the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
Design user-friendly web and mobile experiences for a complex SaaS and marketplace-style platform
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and developer-ready UI specifications
Design workflows for multiple user types, including internal users, property owners, tenants, vendors, service providers, partners, and administrators
Translate complex business processes into simple, intuitive product experiences
Work closely with leadership and engineering to turn product vision into clear, usable, buildable designs
Improve the overall information architecture, navigation, dashboard structure, forms, portals, workflows, and mobile experience
Design and maintain scalable design systems, reusable components, UI patterns, and style standards
Create clean, professional, modern, and consistent product interfaces
Identify gaps, edge cases, confusing user flows, and areas where the product experience can be simplified
Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and implemented accurately
Review builds and provide design QA feedback before release
Use AI tools responsibly to speed up research, ideation, UX writing, documentation, design exploration, and workflow development
Validate AI-assisted design outputs through human judgment, user needs, business requirements, and product logic
Support commercial launch readiness by ensuring the platform is easy to understand, easy to use, and visually consistent
Required Experience
6+ years of UX/UI, Product Design, or related digital product design experience
Experience designing complex SaaS platforms, marketplace applications, CRM systems, workflow platforms, fintech products, operational dashboards, or other multi-role software products
Strong experience designing both web and mobile product experiences
Strong Figma skills, including components, Auto Layout, variants, design systems, prototyping, and developer handoff
Experience designing dashboards, forms, tables, workflows, portals, user profiles, settings, notifications, and role-based user experiences
Experience working directly with engineers and product stakeholders
Strong understanding of user flows, information architecture, interaction design, usability, visual hierarchy, responsive design, and design systems
Experience using AI tools to support design work, UX writing, research synthesis, user-flow creation, wireframing, prototyping, or product documentation
Ability to explain design decisions clearly and connect them to user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce polished, developer-ready designs
Strong written and spoken English
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strongly Preferred Experience
Experience designing marketplace platforms or multi-sided products
Experience with property technology, real estate platforms, maintenance platforms, field-service software, booking platforms, fintech, CRM systems, or enterprise workflow software
Experience designing products with multiple user types and role-based permissions
Experience designing payment, transaction, vendor, booking, service-request, or dashboard workflows
Experience designing AI-powered product features or AI-assisted workflows
Experience improving an existing product rather than only designing from scratch
Experience working in startups or fast-moving product environments
Experience with usability testing, product analytics, user research, or customer feedback loops
Experience creating design systems from the ground up
AI Expectations
We are looking for a designer who uses AI as a productivity tool, not as a substitute for product judgment.
You should be comfortable using AI to help with:
UX research organization
User-flow exploration
Wireframe ideation
Interface-copy options
Product requirement organization
Edge-case discovery
Design-system documentation
Competitive research summaries
Prototype concepts
Usability-test summaries
Design iteration
However, you must still review, validate, and improve all AI-assisted work yourself. Final design decisions must be based on user needs, product logic, business goals, usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility.
The Person We Are Looking For
You are a true product thinker.
You do not just make screens look good — you understand how people actually use software.
You can take a complicated workflow and make it feel clear, simple, and logical.
You are comfortable designing for different types of users who each need different information, permissions, dashboards, and actions.
You think through edge cases, empty states, errors, mobile responsiveness, role-based access, data-heavy screens, and developer handoff.
You are confident working with engineers and leadership, and you can explain why a design decision matters.
You are also comfortable using AI to work faster, explore more options, and improve your process, while still owning the quality of the final product.
What Success Looks Like
The platform becomes easier to understand and easier to use
Core workflows are redesigned with clearer user journeys
Web and mobile experiences become more consistent and polished
Developers receive clear, complete, buildable design specifications
The design system becomes scalable and reusable
Product screens feel modern, professional, and commercially ready
Users can complete important tasks with less confusion and fewer unnecessary steps
AI is used responsibly to improve speed, quality, and documentation
Design work directly supports product launch and long-term platform growth
Compensation
The monthly compensation range for this role is:
CAD $24,000–$36,000 annually
Final compensation will depend on experience, product-design depth, SaaS and marketplace experience, AI-assisted workflow capability, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
