The Opportunity
Langford Staffing is hiring an IT Support & Systems Administrator to support more than 100 remote users working across several technology-enabled and service-based companies.
You will be responsible for employee access, account administration, technical support, phone systems, software permissions, security controls, and IT documentation.
This is a hands-on position for someone who can work independently, solve technical problems, protect company systems, and provide reliable support across a distributed international workforce.
What You’ll Do
Create email accounts, system credentials, and permissions for new hires.
Remove access immediately when employees or contractors leave.
Administer Google Workspace, Outlook, Zoho, Zoho Vault, proprietary CRM systems, RingCentral, and other business applications.
Configure RingCentral users, extensions, call queues, routing, and IVR systems.
Troubleshoot employee access, email, software, phone, and connectivity problems.
Assign CRM access and permission levels based on each user’s role.
Enforce MFA, password, and access-control requirements.
Review user access regularly and remove unnecessary or outdated permissions.
Investigate suspicious activity, compromised accounts, and potential security incidents.
Block user access immediately when there is credible evidence of a security risk.
Maintain accurate records of accounts, permissions, licences, systems, and access changes.
Manage software licences and coordinate with external technology providers.
Create and maintain IT, onboarding, offboarding, access-control, and cybersecurity procedures.
Train HR team members on the correct technical onboarding and offboarding process.
Monitor critical systems and identify recurring technical or security problems.
Recommend improvements to security, system reliability, and employee support.
Provide emergency support outside regular hours for serious security incidents, urgent access removal, company-wide outages, or major phone-system failures.
What You’ll Need
At least three years of experience in IT support, systems administration, help-desk operations, or a similar technical role.
Experience supporting at least 50 users; experience supporting 100 or more remote users is preferred.
Hands-on experience creating and removing user accounts, managing permissions, and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding.
Experience administering Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook.
Experience with business phone or VoIP systems; RingCentral experience is strongly preferred.
Experience managing CRM permissions and business applications.
Working knowledge of MFA, password security, access control, account protection, and incident response.
Experience with password-management systems; Zoho Vault experience is an asset.
Ability to investigate suspicious account activity and respond quickly to security risks.
Strong troubleshooting skills across email, user accounts, software, phones, VPNs, and remote connectivity.
Experience maintaining technical documentation, access records, and software-licence information.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to explain technical procedures clearly to non-technical HR and operational employees.
Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent issues, and communicate risks directly to the CEO.
Availability during Eastern Time business hours and for serious technical emergencies when required.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means:
New employees receive the correct accounts and permissions before they begin work.
Departing users have their access removed immediately and completely.
RingCentral call queues, routing, extensions, and IVR systems operate reliably.
Technical problems are acknowledged promptly and resolved within reasonable timelines.
MFA, password, and access-control requirements are consistently enforced.
Access reviews are completed regularly, with unnecessary permissions removed.
Security concerns are identified, contained, documented, and escalated quickly.
Software licences and user-access records remain accurate.
IT procedures are documented clearly enough for HR to follow during onboarding and offboarding.
Recurring technical problems are investigated and permanently reduced.
Who Will Succeed
The right person is organized, security-conscious, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of technical problems.
You must be able to distinguish an ordinary support request from a serious security or operational risk. You should act quickly during urgent incidents while remaining careful, methodical, and professional.
You will succeed if you document your work, protect sensitive information, communicate problems early, and prevent access or system issues from being overlooked.
Someone who waits for constant instructions, provides temporary fixes without investigating the cause, or treats access removal and cybersecurity as routine administrative work will struggle in this position.
Remote Technology Requirements
You must have:
A computer with at least 16 GB of RAM
Dual monitors
Reliable internet with a speed of at least 100 Mbps
Backup internet connectivity or a reliable power solution
A webcam
A noise-cancelling headset
A private and professional workspace
A secure, password-protected computer used only by authorized individuals
